Spring Lake is a beautiful lake community, conveniently located just  twenty minutes away for the World famous French Quarter. Thirty-five properties border the man-made Spring Lake and the remaining 165 properties are located on the six streets that makeup this quiet community of unique houses.  Spring Lake is located in the eastern section of New Orleans, bounded by Morrison Road on the North, the Lawrence Canal on the East, the I-10 Service Road on the South and the St. Charles Canal on the West.  It is a beautiful and safe place to live.

Spring Lake   has three governing organizations that are part of its one unified community.  These organizations include the Spring Lake Homeowners Association (SLHA), the Spring Lake Neighborhood Association (SLNA) and Spring Lake Subdivision Improvement District (SLSID).

Developed in 1967, Spring Lake continues to be a  diverse community with homeowners of various ages.   The community is composed of young couples with children, middle-aged residents and seniors.  The residents pay for private security, using a self-imposed tax, and also use funds for the overall betterment of the Spring Lake Subdivision.

Night Out Against Crime   is held each year on the second Tuesday in October.  It is a special time for Spring Lake residents.  Following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Night Out provided the perfect opportunity for our community to reunite.  Residents volunteer to plan this event, they donate food and their talents.  Spring Lakers serve as grill masters and host one of the most popular Night Out events in New Orleans.  Visit the  2018 Night Out photo gallery for pictures.

General Membership Meetings    are held every other month and Board Meetings are held in alternating months.  Please visit our 2019 Calendar of Meetings for additional information.
